This is what happens to your application materials.
These numbers astound
This week comes the news that we were NOT hoping for: Applications are up. Up a lot. More people applying, same number of spaces. Some quick takes:
Harvard, a 19 percent
increase over last year.
University of Chicago (18 percent), with an amazing increase in early admissions applicants of 46 percent
Amherst
College (17 percent),
Northwestern University (14 percent),
Dartmouth (10 percent)
Cornell [...]
a little stat
In the past year, The International Counselor had 438,000 hits. At present usage, we should hit half a million by March…Good to have goal.

Common app grows to 339 schoools
Today, 23 new members (8 of which are public institutions) joined the Common Application membership association for next year. This brings the total membership to 339 (25 of which are public institutions) for the 2008-2009 academic year. Our new members (with publics identified by asterix):
