If you are a non US citizen but want to study in the US, arranging financing is a tough go. Currently there are only a handful of colleges that are need blind to international students:
- Harvard
- Yale
- MIT
- Princeton
Yet there are many with generous opportunities for international students that NEED money. I have long kept a list of colleges that are historically very supportive of international students. OACAC publishes a wonderful list each year on their website. And today Inside ed is carrying an article that details a new approach for calculating financial aid awards for international students. Among the colleges that have adopted this protocol include:
- Amherst College,
- the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and
- Yale University
