Presentation on College 2.0: A facilitated discussion on read/write web and college admissions
College 2.0
In College 0.0, admissions had complete control over their image and recruiting efforts.
With the arrival of guidebooks and rankings, College 1.0 demonstrated that “experts” now had a role to play in a college public exposure.
With the arrival of blogs, wikis, podcasts, facebooks etc, the whole paradigm has been turned upside down. College 2.0 is an effort to define, explore and analyze how the new technologies of the read/write web and college admissions. With its advent comes power--and controversy. Shaun McElroy has been facilitating the discussion of the ethics and appropriate use of these technologies.
